HARRIS COUNTY, Texas. A disgruntled employee who was fired earlier in this morning, walked back inside the building with a shotgun. He then killed one person and injured another before shooting himself.
The tragic incident happened around 8:30 a.m. at Knight Transportation in Katy, Texas, just west of Houston.
"The suspect was terminated earlier today," Harris County Sheriff Ron Hickman said.
The second employee sustained a minor injury to the face, however did not need transportation to the hospital. A responding deputy was hurt while breaching the building and was transported to the hospital.
Sheriff Hickman did not know how long the gunman had worked for the company. He gave no further details at this time.
