Two Catholic Nuns Are Killed in Mississippi

Two nuns were killed in their Mississippi home in what police suspect was a robbery. Authorities say the bodies of Sister Paula Merrill and Sister Margaret Held were discovered yesterday morning when they didn't show up for work at the Lexington Medical Clinic.

They were both living in Holmes County while providing medical services to the poor at Lexington Medical Clinic. “They were two of the sweetest, most gentle women you can imagine. Their vocation was helping the poor,†said Reverend Greg Plata.

Police did not say if they have a suspect. However, they disclosed that they'd found the vehicle missing from the house and were taken it to the crime lab for analysis.
