An investigation is underway Tuesday into a running gun battle between Los Angeles police and a gunman that resulted in an officer wounded and a suspect dead at a housing project in Watts. The suspect's name has not been released, and detectives remained at the scene Tuesday morning as they looked for clues into the shooting. A handgun was recovered at the scene.
