What is the first thing that you do when you wake up?

I drink a glass of water right away to help wake myself up and get hydrated for the day, then I start breakfast and take a shower.

    Favorite Christmas Movie?

My favorite is The Polar Express. It's a kids movie, but I still love it. The story is so well written, it really has a lot of good points that make you think, even as an adult. I really appreciate the detail they put into it too.

What kind of phone do you have? Do you love it or hate it?

I have a 5-6 year old Samsung flip phone, the most basic phone available that year. I love it. It works really well, don't have to charge it that often and doesn't take up much space in my purse.

    Recent laws passed to allow...

I do not think any state would pass such a law, that is totally inappropriate behavior you mentioned. I hope that officer was let go and charged with assault. I think one of the main reasons excessive force is happening so often is that the officers who do it keep getting away with it. They...

    Overcrowded Prisons

I hear about overcrowding in prisons from time to time on the news. I think one of the main reasons they don't build new facilities is that they don't have the funds. I don't know if it's just low priority or what. I think there is definitely a place for more non-jail corrections work and...

    Cell Phone Related Tickets

In my state it is illegal for people to use their cell phone while driving, yet I see people do it all the time! They banned it due to so many accidents being caused by distracted drivers who were making phone calls or texting while driving. If you are a cop in a state where this is illegal...

South Korean ferry captain sentenced to 36 years for ferry disaster

I think prison time is appropriate. He did not commit murder, in the sense that there was not an intent to kill, but he was negligent and therefore caused the accident.

Would you be worried about job security?

I have never believed in job security myself. Even if the company is stable, you could lose your job if there was a fire, a dramatic change in the economy, an industry drop. I think we just all need to be prepared always for the possibility of not having a job tomorrow and put our trust in God...

    USPS security breach

They do need to continue to do their very best to protect data, but I think one of the biggest things they could do is not use so many digital files. I don't know why exactly they need to do everything on the computer when there is a security issue involved. Other countries are going back to...

What is the best way to make popcorn?

The best way is in a heavy pot on the stove with coconut oil. You need a heavy bottom pot or it might burn because the heat distribution won't be good. Coconut oil can withstand the heat needed to pop popcorn without turning into trans fats. It also has a great flavor.

How long could you live without the Internet?

I could live without it indefinitely, but as I'm currently making around $50 a week via the internet, I would be pretty hard up until I found another income source for at leas that much money. I have gone a few years at a time without it though.

    Lunch breaks

Cops are normal people, I imagine they are eating the same variety of foods other people are eating. Probably anything from peanut butter sandwiches to fast food, to microwave meals and all sorts of home made foods or leftovers from dinner.

Do you confront people blasting their music?

Sometimes I wish they would. I think it's extremely annoying when someone blares the music in their car to the point where the car is vibrating to the bass. Nobody really wants to hear you destroy your ears people!!

    Multiple Personalities

I think trauma, especially in early childhood can cause someone to develop a disassociated personality as a way of coping with something like abuse, but I do not think someone can have dozens of them. That really makes me question if the person is possessed because the human mind does have some...

    Cameras

I still have a camera, but I don't use is that often. I don't take enough pictures to bother taking it with me.

    Jose Canseco Shoots off Finger

Why would someone clean a gun without unloading it first? That seems like common sense. People who can't exercise common sense definitely do make it more difficult for responsible gun owners.

    Detective

I'm pretty sure there is special training for that. A detective has a pretty different role than a regular officer, so they would need to train for that.

    J walking

It has been done in my town. They have done several stings in particularly troublesome areas, one being right by the University where students were crossing near but not in the cross walk routinely and irresponsibly. I believe the sting was in response to complaints from residents who were...

    Charity Work

I've never heard of the police in my area doing anything like that, but I might just not know about it. I like the idea of any organization or having a community service day kind of thing. It gives everyone a chance to be more social than they can be on the job and get to know each other in a...

Do you think men and women get treated differently in the law?

I don't think women should be favored like that. The punishment should fit the crime, regardless of the gender of the person. I do wonder why women would be favored. I understand that women who are victims of domestic violence need protection because of the emotional and psychological effects...
