There are several online, some reliable, some not. BeenVerified is supposed to be reliable. For those, expect to pay anywhere from maybe $15-30, sometimes more. You can also talk to the Department of Justice for your state. You can probably expect to pay $20-30 there.

If you're doing state-level search, submit your request directly to the state. I'm not sure of the price comparison to a regular company, but they have access to ALL records while some companies only have access to what's public. Also, depending on the state, sometimes company hire outside contractors to go to the courthouse and search the records manually.
