Explosives detection canine training and certification by the ATF at the Castine Center near Mandeville Tuesday, January 24, 2017. Thirty dogs and their handlers participated in the training exercise that ultimately will be used to protect the public possible bomb incidents and to prevent them at large events such as the Super Bowl, Final Four, LSU and Tulane football games and Pelicans basketball games. The dogs are trained to detect several different types of explosives.
