A Georgia couple have been sentenced to years in prison for yelling racial slurs and threatening adults and kids at a child’s birthday party in 2015.
“They repeatedly yelled death threats, saying they were going to be killing all the niggers. They said, ‘We’ll blow the heads off all the little bitches and the little niggers can get one, too,’” said Assistant District Attorney David Emadi.
The Georgia Superior Court Judge sentenced twenty-six year old Jose Torres and twenty-five year old Kayla Norton to twenty years and fifteen years in prison, respectively.
Upon hearing the news, the couple reportedly broke down in tears after being sentenced to prison.
“That is not me. That is not him,” said Norton in court. “I would never walk up to you and say those words to you. And I am so sorry that happened to you.”
