Deputy Sheriff Colt Eugene Allery, age 29, of St. John, ND, a Deputy for the Rolette County Sheriff’s Office, passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2017.
Deputy Allery was shot and killed following a vehicle pursuit of a stolen vehicle.
Allery had served with the Rolette County Sheriff's Office for three months. He had been a law enforcement officer for about five years, previously working for the Rolla Police Department and as a tribal police officer for the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians.
He is survived by his fiance and his five children.
