Deputy Sheriff Dan Glaze

Deputy Sheriff Dan Glaze was shot and killed late Saturday, October 29, 2016 while responding to a report of a suspicious car.

Deputy Glaze, 33, had served in law enforcement for seven years, and he was with the Rusk County Sheriff's Office for 18 months.

The suspect is jailed pending formal charges.

"Dan was a superb deputy," Rusk County Sheriff Jeff Wallace said. "He was a Go-Getter. He was one of the guys who started something, he completed it. He's going to be very well missed."

Deputy Sheriff Dan Glaze is survived by his wife, and their three children.
