Deputy Sheriff John Robert Street

Deputy Sheriff John Robert Street died during a single vehicle crash. Deputy John Street was on his way to a call about an accident at approximately 2:00 am. Deputy Sheriff Streets car struck a car during his trip to the accident call. Other officers were sent out to find Deputy Sheriff John Robert Street when he did not respond to calls on his radio.

Deputy John Robert Street was a part time deputy with the George County Sheriff's Office and also served as a full time police officer with Lucedale Police Department. He is survived by his wife and two children.

A shame how this happened. Condolences to his surviving family! And my hopes are that he was one of the good ones- since these days we are hearing so much bad about police officers!

He got killed in an accident on his way to an accident call. It seems odd. No witnesses either. Kind of undefined the way that it reads. I don't know, this is a shame.
