Deputy Sheriff Michael Foley died of his injuries on Thursday, February 23, 2017. A day after being hit by an inmate bus that was driven by another deputy.
Michael Foley, 60, been with the sheriff’s department for eight years and previously was a police officer with the Concord Police Department for twenty-nine years.
"He loved his job. He loved his career. He loved his family. He loved his community," stated Sgt. Ray Kelly.
He is survived by his wife, daughter and son.
