This is such a sad statement about our society. I can't believe this man has no one to help him, not even a neighbor. I thought there was usually a discharge plan, at least years ago, when I worked in a physical rehabilitation hospital, that was a requirement, and the various therapists would do a home evaluation, and hook the person up with resources.
