John Timoney, Miami Police Chief for seven years, has died after a long battle with cancer. He was 68 years old. Timoney began his career with the New York Police Department. After that he served four years as the Commissioner for the Philadelphia Police Department. He was the Miami police chief from 2003 to 2010.
