Do any of you own a gun? Whether through legitimate or illegitimate means. A friend of mine pawned his gloc 17 to me for 300usd as he said he needed the money for some emergency use. I did made him sign a promisory note though. Is that enough?

That would depend on the local laws. I think guns are supposed to be registered in most states, so you probably want to register it as belonging to you. Not sure how you do that because I don't own a gun. I think that is usually done at purchase if you buy a gun at a store.

since it i sin your possesion, you should probably get it regestered in your name , just incase something goes down , but that would be risky at he same time since you do not know the guns history.
