Reading through this forum, mine doesn't sound so bad, but I jaywalked in front of a police car once. I didn't think anything was coming, and I'd jaywalked that street many times, always being careful. It was also a quiet street. This time, though, I realised a car was coming and had to stop for me. That's normally embarrassing enough, but I looked up to see it was a police car, panicked, apologised then ran away. I am so, so paranoid on that street now to this day.
