On Saturday September 24, Lt. Kenneth Knox, of Meriwether County, Georgia was dispatched to the Parham residence, where he found a two-month-old baby girl choking and not breathing.

According to the parents, the baby girl was turning blue before Officer Knox arrived.

He laid her on the couch and he did reverse CPR on her, and he sucked the cereal out of her throat, said mother Kristen Parham.

A week later, Parham asked Officer Knox to be godfather and Knox responded yes.

Knox was honored to take on the role of godfather. Out of my 25 years being a cop, this is my greatest and most profound accomplishment, he said. It made every second of those 25 years worth it all. I am forever humbled and changed by this.

Very happy the officer saved her and happy for the parents. He seems honored to take the role of godfather.
