Do you find DUI check points during the holiday season to be costly and unnecessary, or do you find this to reduce the possibility of accidents?

I think they reduce accidents. If someone has been drinking & driving or under the influence or something else - it definitely helps if they can get caught at these check points. Another thread was discussing how much more risky it is to drive during the holidays because of people driving under the influence. So, the more people that can be taken off the road, the better - in my opinion.
