One day I want to be in law enforcement. I really want to be in the K9 Unit. Can I be assigned to that right away or do I have to wait?

After you graduate the police academy, you will be with a training officer before they let you patrol on your own. Usually you have to be a regular officer for several years before you get picked for K9 Unit.
