Los Angeles Police Chief Charlie Beck gave an update for the two recent police officer-involved shootings.
Chief Beck said in both incidents the men shot by police were carrying guns. One of them carried a replica of a gun, with the orange painted black.
The two officers that were involved in the shooting had their body cameras on and it captured the shooting.
The footage refutes claims that the man was shot while he was on the ground.
In both these instances the officers feared for their lives because of the actions of the individuals that they were pursuing, said Beck.
