Living on a Prayer - Bon Jovi Lends Name

Bon Jovi lends his name to a new project to revitalize New Jersey. He and several politicians are supposedly trying to promote jobs and other initiatives.

I have a lot of respect for celebrities like him, John Cougar, Dolly Parton and others who make it a point to build up their home towns/states.

Who do you appreciate for their humanitarian efforts?

I remember when U2 negotiated a huge sum of money just for appearing with Bush if I am not mistaken, great move from them.

Yes, investment is a huge need for revitalizing some of these areas. It's really sad when there are no businesses willing to make the investment to get things going again in deteriorating parts of town. I hope they are very successful in this venture. I'm sure it will be appreciated by those who live there.

I'm a big fan of Bono for his work over the years, covering several humanitarian causes. Also, Bob Geldof's work with the Live Aid movement since the 1980s is another very significant person within the music industry.
