LOS ANGELES. Los Angeles police are looking for a driver who is responsible for a deadly nine car pileup while fleeing a drive by shooting.
Tuesday night around 8 p.m. somebody opened fire on the crowd where a carwash fundraiser was taken place.
Authorities say nobody was hit. The suspect took off in a silver Pontiac. Officer Lyle Knight said that some people got in a dodge charger and chased the shooter.
The driver in the Pontiac hit a car, killing the driver, 39 year old Jose Cuevas, of Downey.
The driver in the charger hit a pickup truck and some other cars. The charger's driver and two other people are in the hospital in critical condition.
The suspect in the Pontiac’s car is still out there and is being sought by Police.
Officer Knight told reporters that a handgun was found at the scene.
