The San Diego Police Officers Association have established the DeGuzman Memorial Bridge Fund to rename the Palomar Street Bridge in Chula Vista.
They are hoping to raise enough money to rename the bridge after fallen Officer Jonathan "JD" DeGuzman.
Officer DeGuzman, 43, was shot and killed during a traffic stop on July 28, 2016. He was with the San Diego Police Department for sixteen years. He is survived by his wife and two children.
