When a 9 foot-Burmese python was found slithering its way around a high school, it was quickly apprehended, but the Miami-Dade school officers weren't so quick to turn it in. Students at Homestead high School were actually learning about invasive species. So school officials made a lesson out of their surprise visitor and let the students have a look. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue's Venom Unit eventually came to take the animal away.
