A mother is facing domestic abuse charges after allegedly stabbing two of her sons. Milwaukee police say Deneice Luckett, 44, has been charged with four felonies and one misdemeanor for allegedly stabbing her 16 and 18-year-old sons during an argument.
Authorities responded to a 911 call on Friday around midnight. The 18-year old son told 911 dispatchers that he and his brother were "dripping blood all over the house."
When police arrived to the scene they found the 16-year-old had two lacerations to his head. The older brother had a stab wound to his leg.
Police said the incident began when the 18-year-old noticed $20 was missing from his dresser and he confronted the mother about the money.
According to police, the suspect threw a mug at the 16-year-old, hitting him in the head. While the older brother was taking care of him, police believe Luckett went to grab a knife from the kitchen and ran toward her sons.
"One of the boys just knew he had $20 missing. They started arguing over it. Then the mom came into the picture. She got involved and this verbal argument escalated to a physical confrontation," Lt. Lisa Kumbier said.
The 18-year-old suffered a severed vein and required emergency surgery. The 16-year-old needed 15 stitches to close the two wounds on his head, according to police.
If Luckett is convicted of all charges, she could possibly be in prison for over 60 years.
