I would like to be a cop one day soon. I am going to go and apply to the police station here in my town. I just quit my job that I had for about six months for personal reasons. When the people at the police department ask what my personal reasons was for quitting my job do I have to tell them anything. Can I just say that information is between my and my former employer?

You can tell them that, but that won't work. When applying to the PD, you have to sign a waiver that allows the background investigator full access to all employment records.
