Officer James Brockmeyer passed away Friday, October 28, 2016.
Police say Officer Brockmeyer was killed in a car crash while pursuing a fleeing vehicle. He was taken to Memorial Hospital in Chester where he died.
Officer James Brockmeyer, 22, was with the Chester Police Department in Illinois for ten months. He was also a volunteer firefighter.
He is survived by his parents, and sister.
