Police Officer Justin Scott Martin was fatally shot on Wednesday, November 2, 2016.

Officer Justin Martin was shot and killed from an ambush while he was sitting in his patrol car.

The suspect fled the scene. However, later that night he surrendered to police.

Officer Martin, 24, was with the Urbandale Police Department for fifteen months.
