Police Officer Michael Hance died of 9/11-related cancer on Sunday, March 12, 2017.

Officer Michael Hance, a 17-year veteran of the NYPD, developed the cancer as a result of working the bucket brigade in the aftermath of the terror attack on the World Trade Center.

He is survived by his two daughters, ages 12 and 10.
