When I was 17, I was caught by a police officer for possession of marijuana. It wasn't that big of an amount, it was a little over a gram, so the officer only issued me a ticket. I went to court and paid the fine. I'm 22 now and I would like to pursue a law enforcement job. Will the possession of marijuana misdemeanor stop me from getting a police job?
