Revealing BAC

I received a ticket for drinking on a beach. I'm 25, so it was just ticket for posession. We didn't give the officer a hard time at all. The one thing that bothered me though was that after giving us a breathalyzer test, the cop said we were over the legal limit to drive. We asked what our BAC level read, he refused to tell us. He said that the number was irrelevant and he said there in no law that requires him to tell us our BAC level. Can that be true?

The officer did his job correctly, doesn't have to tell you. In court he would be required to give all the information.
