A bomb hoax forced an evacuation at Sandy Hook Elementary school in Connecticut today. It comes less than two years after the shooting massacre, which killed 26 students and teachers.
Monroe Police Lt. Brian McCauley says the threat was called to the school at 9.39 a.m. Wednesday and the school was evacuated, students were sent to safety at a nearby school.
"All students and staff are safe," stated Newtown First Selectman E. Patricia Llodra. "The building and grounds will be thoroughly searched and cleared of any concern."
The pupils were sent home around noon. Authorities searched the school and found nothing.
The incident is still under investigation. Please check back for updates on this developing story.

How can someone be so cruel at to do this sort of thing?
These kids have been through hell already, and people call bomb threats on top of that?
