Sergeant Anthony David Beminio was killed on Wednesday, November 2, 2016.
He was shot and killed from an ambush while sitting in his patrol car. The suspect got away. But, later that night he turned himself into authorities.
Sergeant Beminio, 38, was an 11-year Des Moines police veteran. Before that he served as a school resource officer at Roosevelt and East high schools.
