Sergeant William Trampass Bishop

Sergeant William Trampass Bishop was killed Saturday, June 17, 2017, after being hit by a car in north Florida.

Bishop, 52, was working a previous crash when he was struck while standing outside his patrol car. He was transported to UF Shands Hospital in Gainesville, where he died.

Sergeant Bishop was a 30-year veteran FHP trooper. He also was a U.S. Army veteran.

He leaves behind a wife and son.
