Sioux Falls Police Chief Matt Burns says his department is in need of additional officers.
"We have a class that we are actually filling right now for June. We have some offers out there to folks.
We are targeting the next recruitment class during April and May for a November class."
Burns says some potential candidates are reluctant to become a police officer.
