South African Police Complete Pistorius Investigation

JOHANNESBURG. The South African police have completed their investigation of the shooting death of Reeva Steenkampon, girlfriend of global track and field star Oscar Pistorius.
Police said they had used forensic experts, ballistics experts, psychologists and technology experts.
A spokesman for the police said Oscar Pistorius will be served with an indictment.
Oscar Pistorius is scheduled to appear in a Pretoria court Monday. Lt. Gen. Solomon Makgale said it is expected Pistorius is going to be served with the indictment and a trial date will be made.
Pistorius, has admitted to firing four shots at Steenkamp, 29, hitting her in the head, arm and hip. He has said the Feb.14 shooting was an accident. The state alleges the couple had an argument and he intentionally killed her.
The double-amputee Olympian may face a life sentence in prison, with a minimum of 25 years, if convicted of a charge of premeditated murder. He was freed on bail Feb. 22.
