GRAMBLING, La. Three Grambling State University students were shot Monday night during a fight that occurred outside one of the campus dorms. A school spokesman said none of three students has life threatening injuries.

Bystander Tracy Lamar Greene Jr. 19, was sent to Ruston General Hospital with a gunshot to his lower leg. Brandon Cooper, 21, showed up at the hospital with multiple shots in his right forearm and his left thigh. A third student Jarion Walker, 20, was shot in the leg, campus spokesman Will Sutton said. He also said that all three students are from the New Orleans area.

A resident assistant saw that there was a large gathering outside of Douglass Hall around 7:15 p.m. and immediately called the campus police saying there was a shooting.

The campus police has reported that everything is now under control and the community has nothing to be concerned about. Police released no information on arrests.

"We're investigating additional injuries, talking with witnesses and others who might be able to help us," Sgt. Ruby Jones said late Monday night.
