Two explosions have been reported on Boylston Street near the Boston Marathon finish line.

The blasts occurred at 2:50 p.m. close to the intersection of Boylston and Exeter streets.

The first blast was across from the Lenox Hotel and the second blast came about 15 seconds later, several witnesses said.

Both explosions could be felt from blocks away. "I was turning the corner. I was near the Hynes Convention Center. I saw two explosions. I just turned around and ran. It was a fireball, a huge fireball," one runner said.

There are reports of many injuries. Witnesses said some of the victims lost limbs. A Boston police officer is one of the victims with a leg injury. The injured were being carried to a medical tent that was set up to care for the runners during the race. The victims were being taken to Massachusetts General Hospital.
