This was actually a really sad situation. I don't understand why that kid would run if he wasn't doing something that he shouldn't have. The cop is obviously remorseful for what happened, and I STILL fear that there will be extreme backlash. I also fear that this will be become another race issue, being that that situation is still extremely volatile.

Exactly what Lito said. I don't understand it either, if he didn't run there would have been no misconceptions. Accidents, they can be avoided. Anything they can take out of it they will. Black and Whites, Yellow and Green. It doesn't matter color .This is a concept of the individual failing, but the blame will shift to the race card which is sad.

That is really sad. Just wish the guy would have stayed put, and he would still be alive. He may have had warranties or something.

The officer was calm right at the beginning, he was careful not to intimidate the guy in anyway while he was cuffing him but the other guy simply ran because he had a gun. Things would've been much better for that guy if he just allowed himself to be caught carrying a gun than getting shot like that.

The guy who ran probably was involved in other crimes which the police just don't know about. Otherwise he would not have ran. That will teach him a lesson not to run, but it might be a little too late for him now.
