Bottom line, this was a complete violation of NYC Police policy. I am sure the officer was taught in the police academy not to choke people during an arrest. Truthfully he should have been fired just based on that. What I see here is a murder. The man said he could NOT breathe several times! This is sad and pathetic of the NYPD.

This isn't the first time and sadly won't be the last time that we have situations like this. "Reasonable force" is what is meant to be applied. If the officer isn't applying this principle then he's committing a crime. It's as simple as that and he should be answerable to that.
