Officers must have a thorough knowledge of the laws involving civilians and their rights. This officer must be held accountable for his actions. He should be reprimanded for his mistakes and be made aware of the laws concerning this.

The problem is we live in a world where everyone walks around with a video camera in their pocket in the form of a smartphone. Once something's recorded and loaded onto social media, we all become judge and jury without the investigation going through due process.

There should definitely be clearly defined laws on what should be allowed to be filmed without it potentially compromising an investigation.
