An 18-year-old man in Okeechobee, Florida has been arrested after police say he beat a 16-year-old boy with autism at a house party.
The brutal beating happened on August 8. Since then it was posted online and went viral.
The victim told police he was invited to the party last Friday where he drank alcohol and was then told to he had to go outside and fight someone.
When the 16-year-old refused, other kids called Andrew Wheeler to have him escorted outside.
Andrew can be seen beating the victim, who is huddled against the wall and has his hands on his head.
The victim claims Wheeler followed him outside, choked him until he lost consciousness and hit him in the face.

According to police reports, the teen was lying by himself in the road near the house party when the officer discovered the victim after midnight. The officer then transported the teen to a local hospital.
Police arrested the suspect after they found the video on Andrew's Facebook page bragging about the incident. The suspect admitted to police he “lost control of his temper.â€
Wheeler is facing a felony child abuse and was booked on $20,000 bond.
Evadean Dailey Lydecker, the mother of the party's organizer who allegedly supplied the alcohol at the party has been arrested on a charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Reports state that she was home during the party.

How does a mother contribute alcohol to these young people? It is so sad that this 16 year old boy had to go through this; it could make him very traumatized because of his condition. I hope that he obtains the help to move on after this. The 18 year old should have known better; peer pressure is a problem with the teens today.

That is a perfect example of the ills facing society today. There were so many wrong things at that party. From illegal underage drinking to adults physically abusing minors. I would have booked a lot of other adults who were there for criminal negligence if there was physical evidence like a video.

Its not just peer pressure but also adults being ignorant and negligent people. Alcohol is not a drug to use without caution and regulation. It also seems that society needs to be reeducated on disabilities. It looks like the victim was set up for the assault because he was 'strange' or 'different'.
