I was unaware, but the police academy doesn't take very long to complete. The way I hear it, is less than half a year in most places. When someone is applying for a job, what factors must be considered when thinking of pay? Are small forces/towns going to pay considerably less because of the duties, and locations, or will they pay more because they need the help more than the candidates lining up in urban centers? Are there other things to consider, such as a rookie is a rookie, and there's no place that is going to pay well? Opinions/facts? Thank you.
