When 10-year-old Lena was stumped with her math homework she decided to ask police for help. So she sent them a Facebook message. The officer who handles the Marion, Ohio police department's social media page offered his expertise. Lena's mom says she's not surprised the officer took time from his date to assist the 5th grader. "I am glad they took the time because they have other things to do but I thought It was fantastic," she said.
