A Florida woman was arrested after police in St. Petersburg say she used a stun gun on her 3-year-old nephew. Police say 30-year-old Ramona Braswell "intentionally touched her 3-year-old in the arm with an electric Taser causing visible injuries."

The boy's mother told police she was not in the room at the time of the incident. She said when she heard her son cry, she ran to see what happened and found her sister standing close her son while holding a stun gun. She also told authorities that her sister was laughing while she was activating the stun gun.

The child told his mother that his aunt had shocked him on the arm and that it hurt. Police say marks reportedly left on the victim's arm confirmed that contact had been made.

Braswell denied shocking her nephew, but did admit she was activating it near him. She admitted at one point putting the stun gun's handle on his arm, but not the electrodes.

She told police that the stun gun wasn't hers, that it belonged to a friend and she was just "playing" with the device.

Braswell is accused of felony child abuse for "causing visible injuries" to the child. She was released from the Pinellas County Jail after posting a $5,000 bond.

I wonder why some people act like they can't see that something is wrong with them. Why they do not question themselves. The baby's mother need to keep her sister away from her family. And she should certainly press charges to the full extent of the law.

Just consider what she did and her laughing about it. She's a big kid and can't distinguish herself from a child. But even still, no matter how childish, people can innately distinguish the difference between right and wrong and have the ability to evaluate themselves, so why is it that with some people they don't? I don't think that she should have been granted bail. They should have held her for awhile to make her see reality.

The fact that she laughs indicates that she did it intentionally. This is just a baby and it was so wrong to do this to him. She should have experimented on herself if she wanted to find out the effect of the stun gun. There are several incidents lately of children falling in the wrong hands with the people closest to them being the ones who hurt them.

A stun gun in a three year old? She could have caused her serious injuries, she deserves time in jail for this.

I wonder what happens in the mind of an adult to perform this action on a child, she has to have some mental problem.

Once more I will ask, how much will our society take before we start locking those crazy people away for longer sentences. She hurt one of the most vulnerable members of society, a child. She should be locked away immediately on a psychiatric hold for at least 4 weeks.

This needs to be really investigated to see whether it was an accident or if it was intentional, if it was intentional she not only need to be arrested, she needs mental help, because no one would do this kind of thing to a 3 year old.

We all need to learn the cosmic link between the mother and child and how that link effects us. That's the bottom line. There's sacred knowledge to life that we're in the dark on.
