Woman Found Guilty Of Hiring Hitman Who Killed Spouse

A newlywed who was accused of soliciting her husband’s killing to receive $100,000 in insurance money was convicted today of aggravated murder in a plan which was faulty from the early beginning. Authorities said the major problem in her scheme was the is ex-wife was still the beneficiary of his policy.

45-year old Uloma Curry Walker can get life in prison without parole for the November 2013 murder of William Walker.

Curry Walker allegedly wrote a confession the morning she turned herself into authorities. She stated the reason she killed her husband of four months was that he had been abusive.

Her sentencing has been scheduled for August 8.
