    Favorite music albums?

I'm a big fan of Mezzanine as well - absolute classic. On top of that, big faves of mine include The Bends by Radiohead, Thriller by MJ and (What's The Story) Morning Glory by Oasis. Basically, albums from at least 20 years ago. There are a lot I've liked since then by these ones stick in my mind.

Baltimore Riots: Buildings on fire, stores looted, state of emergency declared

Re: Article: Baltimore Riots: Buildings on fire, stores looted, state of emergency de I just hope that in five or ten years time we look back on this period as a seminal period for race relations and the dynamics of police power. Society can't keep having this kind of debate and conversation...

Missouri town responds to officer exodus after election of black female mayor

Re: Article: Missouri town responds to officer exodus after election of black female Small town worlds and mentalities rise again! The fact that this woman is putting herself in this position is incredibly noble and inspirational. Some places just don't want to change. Thankfully, the rest of...

    So Sad...

Sometimes I do feel that some people shouldn't be allowed to have children. Or rather, if they are living a certain lifestyle their children should certainly be kept with the social services. Regardless, it's extremely sad that the poor child has to suffer for the incompetency of its parents.

shooting of police officers, this one in Mississippi.

It would be interesting to know whether the amount of assaults on police have gone up in the last couple of years, or whether we are just hearing about them more. It just seems to be front and center now and it's very sad that police have to be the target for such actions.

    No Victim Here

I don't know whether to laugh or cry...Laugh that the criminal picked on the wrong one. Cry because people are so keen to carry guns and use them in the first place. Yes, it was self defence but the gun culture breeds a gun culture. It's a strange society. What's acceptable and accepted in some...

    What country would you visit?

I would love to visit Argentina or Brazil. I've always had an interest in watching soccer at grass roots level in those countries. It's a pity I didn't make it to the World Cup last year. If I get lucky I may get to Brazil for the Olympics. Well, if I win the lottery...

    Freddie Gray Death Ruled Homicide

There are deep rooted issues that need to be addressed in the US beyond the conviction or not of some police. People really need to start having the conversations. That's the issue, not one-off police episodes.

What would you do if you had a million dollars?

A million dollars doesn't really go that far in this day and age. I think if I won a million I would probably put it aside for a few months or up to a year to think about it. That way I would have time to think about the decision, while also benefiting from interest that I could earn on it. I...

    Would you be one?

I would like to think that I would do the right thing. It's kind of in line with how I look at the world. But in the heat of battle and in the real world, I really don't know what I would do. Peer pressure and thoughts about your career are always going to have an influence. It's a difficult one.

    Internet trolls and getting caught

Trolls are just vile. They are simply cowardly bullies who hide behind their keyboards ruining other people's lives. And they've been directly and indirectly involved in people self harming. It's just a sad element of social media and the internet age. The sooner stricter regulation come into...

Deadly incidents in South Afric as Xenopbobia creeps in

This story has been rumbling in South Africa for some time but has really exploded with this incident. If I remember rightly, there was a huge backlash about 5 years ago during the peak of the economic crisis against people from Zimbabwe, Botswana and other southern African countries. There were...

    What's your favorite music genre?

I like all types of music but I've always liked derivations of jazz and soul. If I looked through my musical collection I would find the vast majority of my music fits into one of these genres somehow, whether we're talking about Miles Davis or Barry White. But I also like a lot of the Britpop...

Must one go college to be successful in life?

Definitely not. Without a doubt going to college does get you a head start in terms of qualifications and contacts, and may be required for some professions (e.g. a doctor). But there have been entrepreneurs since the beginning of time that have made their way without a formal education. It's...

    Favorite Super Hero?

I love the darkness and very humanness of Batman. He's a tortured soul. But I've always had a soft spot for the Fantastic Four. They were the first Marvel comics that I ever read, and I still love the dynamic of the foursome.
