    Death Penalty, for or against?

I am against the death penalty because I don't think it does any good. For one, we are sanitizing the government to commit murder and I question how that makes the government any better than the criminal. The 2nd reason is because it is very expensive to execute a person.

    Nancy Grace

With the Michael Brown case I know that she absolutely disagreed with the verdict and had his parents on her show after the indictment verdict. She was in tears for most of that show. The tears I know are mostly fake, but she does have passion.

    Do You Work Too Much?

I feel like I have been working in hyper drive for the last month because I am trying to get some money for a couple things I want. Plus, I stopped smoking in December so I have to keep myself busy and occupied. I really need to focus on working smarter this year so I can make more money in less...

Is the law blinded by celebrity?

Celebrities do have a better life than many of us when it comes to dealing with crime. They absolutely get off easier and have more money to hire more outrageous attorneys than most of us could afford. Notice how I dis not say good attorney. Some attorneys just make stupid claims to get media...

    Do you fear bloodborne pathogens?

There are certain things around in this world that seem to be associated with crime, namely drugs and diseases. For any police officers, or security guards out there, are you afraid of coming in contact with bloodborne pathogens? Hepatitis C scares me the most because it can live on a surface...

Video: SURVIVING AN ACTIVE SHOOTER - LA County Sheriff

That is the crazy part, it can happen to anyone at any time. An active shooter has no boundaries and it really can be a random act. It is better to plan now what you would do and never have to use the information that to not plan and have no clue what to do. The best chance you have at...

    Issues between officers

I am sure every officer has issues at some point in time because that is what happens when you work together and are always around d each other, you start to bicker like brothers and sisters. That is what supervisors are for and if that does not work, there are internal relations people that get...

Difference Between Murder and Capital Murder?

I think the Wiki definition pretty much sums it up. If you murder an adult under "normal" circumstances then it is just murder, but when it is especially horrid, then it becomes capital. I am not sure there is much of a difference in punishments though.

    Do You Work Too Much?

I really wish I could take a vacation from my out of the home work and concentrate all of my efforts on my online work. I really enjoy doing it so it does not feel like work at all most days. I just wish I got paid more.

    Nancy Grace

I kind of enjoy watching her show. There is a lot of good information broadcasted and she is not afraid to voice her opinions on how she feels about people. I am sure some of it is for ratings, but she does have a good show.

Do you follow high profile trials?

I don't watch the whole trial from start to finish on the TV, let me clarify that. I do watch parts of it when I can and then do a lot of research online, or will watch the highlights on crime tv shows. I learn a lot, so at least it is not garbage tv.

Do you follow high profile trials?

I have to admit that I was glued to HLN during the Casey Anthony and Jodi Arias murder trials. There was something that was very interesting in both cases and I had to watch every moment that I could of the TV coverage. Do any of you follow high profile trials on TV? What makes them so...

    Community policing

Community policing is a concept that is widely used where I live, and it is based off the principle that citizens and police should join together to prevent crime in communities. Do you have this where you live, and do you think it works to reduce crime?

    Do You Work Too Much?

Recently I have gotten the distinct feeling that I work way too much. I have a full time job and then I work online for some extra cash on the side. It has gotten to the point that I feel like I am working morning, noon, and night. The money coming in is great, but I feel like I have no life...

    Community Policing

Community policing is a huge initiative these days and it means that police and the community are supposed to work together to keep crime rates down. I have noticed that areas in which there are community policing efforts, it seems as though crime rates are much lower than places where crime...

Throwing up in a police car

All of the backseats of police cars I have seen are made of plastic so that the officers can do an initial hose out of the vehicle. I am sure it would need to be professionally cleaned though due to the potential for disease...not to mention that vomit has a lingering smell that is hard to get...

    Police Shows

I also like those murder documenteries that they play on HLN and A&E on the weekends. Some of them are very interesting and there are a lot of twists and turns along the way. They are generally packed with good information about how they uncovered the case and the evidence that was collected.

    Problems from legalizing marijuana

There are 2 main concerns I have with marijuana being legal. I have a problem, like many of you mentioned with people driving while they are "stoned." Marijuana impairs a person's ability to act in a rational manner, much like alcohol does. It slows most people down, and they would not be able...

How well do jurisdictions get along?

I have heard that some in some states, police jurisdictions are closed lipped when it comes to information sharing with regard to crime. Some jurisdictions do not share information with each other very well and try to solve their crimes on their own. Is this how police work operates in your...

Your cell phone could be subpoena'd

Whenever something goes down, or an incident happens, people always pull out their cell phones to start recording video. I wonder if these people are aware that their cell phones could become evidence of the crime occurring and can be taken away from the owner. It always cracks me up when I see...
