As one who is supposed to uphold society's rules, how does a cop live with his own weaknesses?

Is morality doing something for your own preservation or for the society? Is it a set of rules governed by only one set of people, or something every individual can have a say about?

What are the rules for showing an officer my ID? I know that if i get pulled over while driving I am required to show it, but how about if I am a passenger in the car - do I need to hand it over then? How about at a bar? If I am at a bar and it gets raided, do I have any obligation to show...

Are you a person that generally follows all the rules, or do you follow more your common sense. Do you think it's ok to break some rules sometimes?

Anyone ever got a ticket? I bet we all at least got one right? What was the lesson learned, follow the rules and you'll be fine, so tickets are effective indeed. Any comments on this?
