I'm going to start running

I am going to start running also. What I do now is walk but I am ready to start running. There is a park close to where I live so I go there with the kids and walk. I was on the track team in high school and miss how much I enjoyed running. It does start with getting out and just doing it. Since I am not an active runner as I once was I am going to start slowly and go from there.

I would start out slowly and gradually increase your endurance and time as you go. When I first started running, I started out with 2 miles at a time 3 days a week and gradually increased it. You want to make sure you stay injury free. If you start out running everyday without a base or a stating point, you may injury yourself, in addition to losing your motivation in the aftermath. It is also helpful to have a running buddy or you can even join a running club for a little extra motivation.
