Authorities say a NY Police Officer rescued a 16-year-old boy who they say ignored warning signs and ventured onto the ice covering the pond in Central Park.
Witnesses told the officer the boy had been dancing on the ice just before the ice beneath him gave way and he plunged into the freezing water.
The boy wasn't able to lift himself out and had to wait for the officer to pull him out.
